update for UNR

Hello ppl, this goes out ESPECIALLY TO THOSE IN UNR.
PLEASE READ!!! :))

more immediate stuff:

  • Draft of letters to the JCs

ok, so i have a draft of the letter alr. i kinda edited it slightly, based on what they gave us. HFH wants to send the letter out to the schs by this coming wk, ie. by 15th feb. so i'll send my draft by tdy or tmr. my guess is that they'll send it back for more editing.

  • Theme

they want a more nicer, impactful theme. our theme of 'HOPE DESPITE DESPAIR' is abit ... weak? so they want something more powerful like the previous years, like 'UNDER NO ROOF: WHERE WILL YOU SLEEP TONIGHT?' we've got to settle the theme by this tues, but it'll still revolve around hope, so that won't hinder our planning la.

  • Brainstorm games/activities during event

this will be the main topic for tuesday's meeting. the activities etc, incl the rationing, the 'disturbance' in the night, the video scenario thing that's gonna be played. other things to take note of :

-space constraint at the open area

-wash up : where / how are they gonna wash up? chinhao said sth like the vivo ppl wont like the participants to was up in the toilets cos its bound to be very very dirty etc

-safety / security : bring in first aid and those on duty to take care of belongings, how to collect and make sure participants' belongings dont get lost. since we're gonna strip them of everything. (heh.)

and more.

  • T-shirt design

we have to come up with a design, and i heard that anil is coming up with one? anw, if there is ANYONE, ANYONE AT ALL IN CIC WHO CAN COME UP WITH ANY DESIGN TOO, pls do so thank you very much :)

we'll narrow the choices too, so it's best if we had a wide pool of designs to choose from in the first place. and this will come down to settling the theme first, so this coming tuesday's meeting is super impt.

other stuff to take note:

*abt half an hr educational session

*debrief session

*opening/closing ceremony

*REGISTRATION

so guys, make sure you're there on tues ok? we really really need to get things done, esp the pre event and the event itself.

THANKS!

diy.
