CIC Chalet Series: (2) How to get there..?

Hey peeps!
I've realised that quite alota ppl donno how to get to the Costa Sands (Pasir Ris).
[Note, Pasir Ris, not Downtown East]

In short, the chalet is in Pasir Ris, which is near Downtown East but not in Downtown East.
It is slightly northeast from the centre of Downtown East.

To simplify matters, meet up at EW1 Pasir Ris control station at 3pm.

FIGURE 1: How to get there - by feet

1. Stop at EW1 Pasir Ris/Pasir Ris Interchange.
2. Make your way to Pasir Ris Dr 1 and walk in the east direction.
3. When you reach the first junction (between Dr 1, Dr 6 and Pasir Ris Circle), turn into Pasir Ris Circle (to your left or to the north). E! Hub should now be on your LHS.
4. Walk straight along the road, until there's a small turn at the end. Turn into it.
5. Walk along Jln Loyang Besar, turning left (north) at the first junction. DONT GET INTO LOYANG BESAR CIRCLE. IT'S A DEAD END. Walk along the other road.
6. You will walk past 2 churches before seeing 'COSTA SANDS RESORT (PASIR RIS)'.
7. Turn into it.
8. Look for B-11.

FIGURE 2: How to get there - by bus (1)

1. Take either 5, 6, 12, 17 or 21 from Pasir Ris interchange.
2. Alight ONE stop after, at Downtown East, along Pasir Ris Dr 3.
3. Walk in the direction of the bus after alighting (east) and turn into Pasir Ris Circle (north) at the first junction.
4. Follow instructions 4 - 8 above.

NOTE: If you feel like taking 354, please refer to instruction set #2 below.

** DO NOT TAKE 358 from Pasir Ris Interchange (unless you want it to go one whole loop before you can end up at the destination) **

FIGURE 3: How to get there - by bus (2)

1. Alight at 405/467 (depending on which direction you come from).
2. Walk east along Dr 6, and subsequently, into Pasir Ris Circle.
3. Follow instructions 4-8 above.

1. Take 354 from Pasir Ris Interchange.
2. Alight at the 2nd stop, at Pasir Ris Circle.
3. Follow instructions 4-8 above.




FIGURE 4: How to get there - by boat

1. Stop at the place illustrated above.
2. Park your boat properly and remember to remove all your personal belongings before leaving.
3. Walk south towards Costa Sands Resort (Pasir Ris).
4. The gate should be somewhere along the fence.

For people coming for the BBQ, you can put go straight to our BBQ pit.
Sad to say, there's no BBQ pit in Costa Sands (Pasir Ris) at all, so we have to make our way to the Pasir Ris Park BBQ Pits. Isn't it better..? We can enjoy the sun, sea and shuai-ges (look no further..).

So for those who want to know, it's BBQ Pit #5.
It should be directly outside the chalet..

So, lastly a repeated announcement:

Date: 6 - 7 July 08
Venue: Costa Sands, Pasir Ris (near downtown east but not in it)

For those westerners (ie not living in the east), it's located near EW1 Pasir Ris MRT.
So we'll meet at the MRT control station first at about 3.15pm.

All seniors are invited to stay over!
Pls bring games, such as monopoly, RISK, mahjoong sets and card games(UNO, poker) etc.
Pls bring some chips over to last us through the night as well!
